Trip of Niagara Falls #2

The second day of this trip, we went to three places.

We woke up at 7:00, and started the tour at 8:00.

We went to The Finger Lakes, which are a chain of lakes in the west-central section of Upstate New York.
There are eleven lakes in total. The lakes mainly are linear in shape, each lake oriented on a north-south axis.
When you see these large lakes at the map, their shapes resemble the fingers of a hand.

We visited one of the longest lakes among the Finger Lakes, Seneca Lake!
It is close to 64Km from end to end.

The Finger Lakes area is New York's largest wine producing region.
Because of the lakes' great depth, they provide a lake effect to the lush vineyards that flank their shores.

Then, we went a wine seller to do wine testing!!

We drunk four kinds of wine, two white wine and two red wine.
It taste was very good even if I usually don't drink much wine.

That place looks like a farm.
We could get an open view from the shop.

After wine testing, we went to Corning Museum of Glass!

There offers the world's best collection of art and historical glass which more than 45,000 objects trace 3,500 years of glassmaking history. And there are also many Hands-on exhibits.

These are the oldest glasses which were made in A.D.

There are also very old glasses which made in around B.D. 1st.

And there are many artistic objects.

Besides, we could see how glasses were made.

Then, I stoped my legs in front of a exhibit.

It was purely by chance that I saw it there.
When I was a junior high school student, it took so long time to make the sketch of this glass picture before I graduate.
I look back on it with nostalgia.

And many souvenirs were waiting us!!

But・・・we couldn't buy anything・・・
(Why we couldn't・・・I will tell at the next blog!)

Anyhow, we really enjoyed that fantastic place!!

Then, we backed to the Chinatown, which is in Manhattan that took about six hours!!

We had very Nice experience!!!!!
